The built-in Calendar app that comes as part of OS X Mountain Lion is, in my opinion, one of the greatest calendar apps around. Is clean, it's simple and it's full-featured. There are lots of intuitive tricks to making it fit your workflow and lifestyle. In this post, I want to cover one... the ability to create new calendar events using normal, everyday English.
First, we'll need to open Calendar. Once open, click the [+] button in the top left corner to initiate creating a new event. Now, double-press the "Fn" key to invoke dictation. Speak your event details using every day language. When you're done, press the "Fn" key again, then <enter> to accept the new event.
