Apple delivered a preview of OS X Mavericks, the successor to OS X Mountain Lion (current Operating System for their Mac laptops and desktops), at their annual Worldwide Developer Conference, held in San Francisco this past June. Apple still maintains that they will release the software upgrade "This Fall", but I expect it to be released any day now.
