How Do You Feel About the Use of Drones?

Two weeks ago, Amazon made a huge splash in the media swimming pool when Jeff Bezos announced that they were getting very serious about the use of drones in delivering packages to customers. There are, of course, limitations to a concept like this (i.e.: limited distance, limited weight, etc), but regardless, this has initiated a firestorm of media attention. As a result, companies like Lockheed Martin, Boeing and others are also grabbing some of the spotlight as they are announcing various drone-related projects. Just today, Bloomberg TV had suggested that the drone industry could generate as many as 70,000 drone-related jobs in as early as 3 years. Add to that the possibility of using drones in medical aid and disaster relief, and it sounds like the use of drones is an amazing proposition.

That all sounds great, but there are also downsides to consider as well... the potential of property (or even worse, bodily) damage/harm, lost or stolen drones and/or goods, etc.

At the very least, this has become an interesting debate to consider. How do you feel about the use of drones (whether remote-controlled or autonomous)? Take our quick poll below to make your opinion known.
