"We’re so excited this morning to kick off DBX, our first developer conference." That's how today's Dropbox blog entry began, as they announced a bold new initiative... the Dropbox Platform. We all know Dropbox as a simple-to-use service that allows us to sync documents between all our devices. It seems, however, that Dropbox wants to sync more than just documents. They want to to sync everything, and they're going to push hard to do so.
Personally, it looks like a smart move on their part. Time will tell how well they can compete with others already in that part of the syncing space.
