Coverage: Apple Event - September 7, 2016

Today is the day! Apple scheduled to hold this year's Fall event today, September 7, 2016 at the famous Bill Graham Civic Auditorium, located in San Francisco, CA. The BGCA has been home to some of Apple's most significant product announcements including the iPhone 6s in 2015 and the Apple II in 1977. This event shed some light on some of their flagship products, namely Apple Watch and iPhone.

Introduction & Welcome

iPhone

  • 8) Apple has developed "AirPods", wireless EarPods. Infrared sensors detect when they are in your ear, only playing when you are listening. Up to 5 hours of listening on a single charge.
  • 9) Apple rolls out ApplePay and transit in Japan, coming later this year
  • 10) iPhone 7 and 7 Plus features new A10 Fusion 64-bit, quad-core processor. 2 cores are for high-intensity use and 2 cores are for high-efficiency use.
  • Battery life is improved... 14/15 hours on wireless and 12/13 hours on LTE (average of 2 hours/day longer than iPhone 6s/6s Plus)
