Tech 204: Data Protection & Security
If I asked you what was more valuable, your computer or your data, what would you say? If you said โdataโ, then youโre absolutely right! Generally speaking, computers are a commodity. There are clearly technical advantages of using one over another, but theyโre readily available when you need one. Data, on the other hand, is not. In some cases, youโve spent years generating your datasets, and I would bet that nearly of it is irreplaceable. Thatโs why backing up your data is so critical. My rule of thumb is that if your data doesnโt exist in at least 3 different places on 2 different types of media, it doesnโt exist at all. This course will show you ways to protect yourself from data loss.
